This duo can play more than 250 hits from 1849 until now. Fluent in 7 languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brasilian), Dutch, German. For international events, they will surprise the audience with 1 Japanese, 1 Persian, 1 Sicilian, 1 Neapolitan and 1 Maastricht dialect song.

Romain van Beek has played the guitar since he was eight years old. He graduated at the conservatory in Maastricht. All his life he has performed on stage in different (big)bands all over the world. He is responsible for arranging the songs for the duo and sings as backing vocal. Sinds 2013 Francine and Romain perform mostly as a duo. These two musicians love what they do and the audience can feel that. They have the talent and experience to create the right interaction which gives every event that special wow-feeling. With bass player Werner Lauscher, also a trio is possible.

With bass player Werner Lauscher, the duo Francine & Romain adds a different flavour. Perfect for events where a duo is not enough, but a quartet is too big or too loud. Of course the trio format offers the possibility for lovely duets between Werner and Romain as well as exciting duets between Werner and Francine.

Werner Lauscher is a German Aachen based bass player. He started on classical guitar before switching to electric bass and later to double bass. He began his professional career as freelance bass player and demonstration artist for newly established bass company Warwick at the age of 18 years. Since then he has recorded more than 60 albums, TV and film soundtracks and toured worldwide with artists such as: Helmut Lotti, Viktor Lazlo, Charlie Mariano, Rocco Granata, Toots Thielemans, Marla Glen, Eva de Roovere, Randy Brecker, Reinhard Mey etc.

This band is specialised in elegant, international music for weddings, dinners and (business) events. The repertoire is in French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brasilian), English, Dutch, German. All musicians have years of experience playing all over the world in various big bands and other ensembles. They often start with relaxed background music, always at the right volume such that everybody can easily speak with each other. They can also play ballroom and latin dance music, such as quickstep, waltz, chachacha, rhumba, jive. When needed they automatically switch to uptempo, more individual danceable songs (e.g. Gloria Estefan, Michel Telo, Pharrel Williams, Gloria Gaynor, the Communards and many more)

Note: Francine & Friends are not a party coverband who play only uptempo disco dance music. If you want this, they are happy to recommend other bands to you. The uptempo repertoire of Francine & Friends is meant to complete the last part of the evening. For example after the dessert and coffee, it is often the right moment to play some uptempo songs for everyone to dance and sing to.

Duration examples:

• 2 to 5 sets of 40 minutes, with breaks of 20 minutes in between. Perfect for your 2 to 5 hour event.
• optional 2 extra sets if your event is 7 hours. Suggested program which is booked mostly: Duo Francine & Romain play 1 or 2 sets of 40 minutes during a relaxed start of the event, for example during the reception or apéritif. After Francine & Romain, duo piano & bass or trio piano & bass & drums perform during 1 or 2 sets. After that the quartet will play, or if you like, all musicians can play as a quintet. This combination is often the perfect solution for business (gala) dinners where the reception is in a certain place and then guests move to the dining location.
